Quick Sip: Sipping for a cause!

Hello Friends,

One Hope is a California-based business and wine label that donates 50% of all profits to meaningful partner charities. One Hope was founded by eight individuals whose original plan was to help out a good friend with her fight against cancer. Today the founders combine their sales, marketing, management, and experience within the wine industry to offer hope to those in need and to embrace the gift of giving. Every varietal that One Hope produces supports a different cause. The wines and causes range from support for our troops (Zinfandel), fight against Autism (Cabernet Sauvignon), AIDS awareness (Merlot), breast cancer (Chardonnay), and saving our planet (Sauvignon Blanc), which we’ll review in this post.

One Hope 2007 Sauvignon Blanc

In the glass, the 2007 One Hope Sauvignon Blanc displays a pale yellow color with light green hues. The swirl and sniff offers orange zest and lemon grass aromas heightened by soft melon notes. On the sip, the One Hope Sauvignon Blanc is clean and fresh with bright citrus flavors and refreshing acidity. Enjoy the One Hope Sauvignon Blanc on its own or try pairing it with grilled white fish, shellfish, etc. This wine retails for $18.99, has a reconstituted cork enclosure, and clocks in at 13.5% ABV.
